Recently THESE PEOPLE (the Matt, Aaron, Chris, Joel chapter) were lucky enough to spend a few days at MDA Camp at Camp Cavell in Lexington, Michigan. This year the big activity was making music videos. A few months ago my brother Paul (who has volunteered there for years) called me up and asked if the guys and I would be interested in going to camp to help shoot and edit with him. I was initially excited, but thought his timeline and schedule seemed impossible. (I may have laughed in his face when he told me exactly how much time we had) I went into the project thinking it was going to be a lot of work and stress and when I got there I found it to be the total opposite.

It\’s one in the morning and I just got out of the longest screening ever recorded of the movie \”CARS\” so I\’ll be brief, but it\’s Wednesday and as is sometimes our custom we\’ve posted TWO new sketches!
GOOD TIMES (which there is already a blog about,) a super funny sketch shot on location in the official city of choice of most of These People TORONTO, ON in and around the home of the \”window box\” the Downtown Marriott Hotel. We had never had so much trouble deciding on a song as we did for this sketch, but we\’re very happy with our final decision.
CAN YOU HEAR ME? Our first but certainly not LAST trip into the genre of self-reflection, Joel turns in another perfect performance as our star of the silent screen. And oddly enough another sketch we changed the song on right before we posted it. Go figure.
BTTF is one of the first sketches I wrote and one of the first sketches we shot, twice, someday when we’ve got volumes of work and true fans that think they have everything there is to own, we’ll release a 3 disc DVD in a special wooden box containing the never before seen “WINTER” Version of BTTF…or we’ll just throw it in the vault in a couple of months.
We added a handy-dandy guide for the sketches and a help page, just in case you had questions but were afraid to ask.
Also, Immer has pictures for you!
Hi! I’m Matt from TV’s These People,
Hello and welcome to ThesePeopleComedy.com! If you’re reading this blog it can mean only one of two things. 1) Joel has finished the website. OR, B.) Society as I know it has ended and you’re some future archeologist reading this as a way to figure out the humor of an ancient civilization.
(pause for laughter)
Anyway, what you’re viewing right now has been 4 months in the making. Back in February (of 2006) my friends and I decided to put our filmic ambitions and equipment to good use and got very serious about sketch comedy. The fruits of our labors thus far are displayed on this site, but wait, you don’t really think we’ve unleashed everything we’ve made right away, do you? I can assure you as of the time I’m writing this we have another 10 sketches, 4 feature films and 1 gripping documentary about penguins waiting in the wings. We will be posting those sketches 1 or 2 at a time right here in the coming weeks. We aren’t sure what to do with that other stuff yet.
So take a look around, hopefully our sketches will make you LOL, OMG LOL, and possibly even ROTFL.
Tell your friends!
