These People Official Film Festival Competitors

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

In addition to announcing the arrival of our newest sketch (which I’ll be doing in approximately one paragraph) we have some BIG NEWS to report! These People have gotten into our first ever film festival! It’s the “Hell’s Half Mile Festival” in Bay City Michigan. We are very honored and excited to get another chance to watch our work with a live audience. If anyone lives in or is close to the Bay City area we’d love it if you not only came out to support us, but the festival and all independent film making. For more information go to: www.hhmfest.com

And now what you all really came here to see; WARLORDS, is FINALLY online. You may remember a while back we released a teaser trailer for this sketch, it was viewed over 30,000 times on YouTube, proving you REALLY can’t go wrong with a kick in the groin. Fortunately, now that Warlords is up in its entirety you can see that it is so much MORE than me getting my junk junked, it’s also about friendship, responsibility and me almost losing an eye. We put a little bit of extra work into this one to make sure we had a product the whole troupe believed in before we released it. So as always we hope you all enjoy it!
Will the whole sketch be as successful as the trailer was? How many people on YouTube will call us “gay” this time? ONLY time will tell….so let’s all tune in and watch the human melodrama that IS These People.

Here’s to a fantastic first day

Hey Everyone! How’s it going?

Hope everyone had a nice Labor Day. As we’re all readjusting to getting back to work and school THESE PEOPLE have returned with a sketch we’re VERY excited about; our HI-larious look at office life in “Kevin,” (whose title character is played by fan favorite Joel “stop putting my last name on the internet” S.) which tells the story of a young man’s trouble acclimating to his new work environment.

What I enjoyed most about this sketch was wearing a very uncomfortable wig and moustache for 8 hours. The best part was walking around downtown Ann Arbor dressed like a well-to-do Grandpa taking his grandsons out for a little Coney Island.

I also wanted to alert everyone to a sketch we posted a short while back by the name of #1 Draft Pick. I just realized there was never a blog made about it, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to encourage you all to watch it, for it is quality, and Steve Immer and Deonna put a lot of work into getting us our 3 Aarons.

UP NEXT for These People….the build up from the teaser trailer FINALLY pays off as WARLORDS hits the site. Stay Tuned.
